If you do, why not thank them by nominating them for a DAISY Award?

The DAISY Awards is an international recognition programme that honours and celebrates the skilful and compassionate care provided by nurses each day.

All you need to do is fill in the nomination form and your nomination will go to our own DAISY panel for consideration.

The closing date for the next round of nominations is Tuesday September 26th

Oxford Health employs around 2,000 nurses who are eligible to be nominated and, so far, 18 nurses have received one of the quarterly awards.

The Trust’s nurses work in a wide range of areas including community services such as minor injury units and school nursing plus, mental health, forensic services, and learning disabilities.

The DAISY Foundation describes itself as a partnership with healthcare organisations to provide on-going recognition of the clinical skill and especially the compassion nurses provide to patients and families.

Any Oxford Health patient, family member or carer on behalf of a patient can nominate a nurse that they feel has demonstrated extraordinary compassionate care.

Each DAISY Award Honouree is recognised at a surprise ceremony in their ward or department and will receive a certificate, a DAISY Award pin, and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled A Healer’s Touch.

Please get in touch if you would like to get involved and champion DAISY in your area DAISYAwards@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk
