Virtual opportunity to see your possible future career

Are you studying a health and social care course or looking for a career change – or do you know someone who is?

Virtual opportunity to see your possible future career

If the answer to one of those questions is ‘yes’ then the Allied Health Professional Virtual Taster Week will be of interest.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is inviting people to take part in the very first virtual taster week that puts participants an insight into a massively rewarding career.

The Taster Week will showcase a variety of Allied Health Professional roles within the NHS.

They are being held from 7 – 11th  February and give you will the chance to attend virtual clinics, hear from people already doing the job and also have any questions answered by professionals.

There will also be sessions held by newly qualified staff that have been on work experience prior to their role to give you relatable insight to the profession.

What is an Allied Health Professional?

There are 14 different disciplines in the AHP family and Oxford Health has eight of them embedded in its mental and community health settings across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset.

These include podiatrists, dietitians, occupational therapists, paramedics, physiotherapists, art therapists, music therapists and, last but by no means least, speech and language therapists.
