To round off Volunteers’ Week 2021, Oxford Health Charity is hosting a Wellbeing Day today, June 7, for Oxford Health’s 200+ volunteers. All volunteers have been invited to register for the sessions they would like to attend.
Annabelle Padwick is doing a session on Growing for Wellbeing. To get the growing going, Oxford Health Charity has sent those taking part sachets of pumpkin seeds.
“I’m hoping to have some pumpkin photos and articles for my autumn newsletter!” said volunteer programme administrator Maya Jose.
A Self-care Coaching Hour with Natalie Davies, aka the Wellbeing Girl, is available for those volunteers who also have caring responsibilities. The end of Volunteers’ Week coincides with the beginning of Carers Week 7-13, for which Oxford Health Charity has funded a whole week-long wellbeing programme. You can see it here.
And finally, in the afternoon, volunteers are invited to Share a Cuppa with Oxford Health’s Charity & Involvement Team. It’s an opportunity to give feedback, make suggestions and simply share experiences – all virtually, of course.
The Charity & Involvement Team is currently working to bring the current volunteers back into their normal roles as Covid restrictions ease. Julie Pink, Head of Charity and Community Involvement, said:
“Volunteers bring a wealth of skills, experience and energy to the roles they undertake and our teams are so grateful for all the time they give. We look forward to welcoming them back as restrictions ease.”
