WATCH NOW: New videos on learning disability and epilepsy

An important goal for the Learning Disability Week is to raise awareness of learning disabilities and campaign for a fairer society for people with a learning disability. To mark the week, Oxford Health is launching a set of videos that will become part of induction to all staff who join the Trust.

The production was initiated following a government recommendation that all NHS staff have an induction on learning disabilities and autism. Now the Trust is publishing them externally as well.

“There can never be too much education!” says Kirsten Prance, Associate Clinical Director for Learning Disabilities.

The videos have been co-coproduced with experts by experience from advocacy organisations My Life My Choice and Epilepsy Action.

There are two main videos: Learning Disability Awareness and Learning Disability and Epilepsy, and each video also has a short, animated introduction.
