‘Your health’ drop in sessions especially for people with a learning disability

Do you have a learning disability? Join us at our new ‘Your health’ weekly drop in session for health and wellbeing support.

These informative and friendly sessions are designed to support adults with learning disabilities to manage their health and wellbeing by providing

  • access to information
  • signposting to services
  • weekly weigh-ins
  • 1:1 sessions tailored to individuals’ needs

The sessions are designed to improve people’s confidence and overall sense of wellbeing.

A variety of useful information is available on topics such as personal hygiene, oral care and cancer awareness.

Healthy eating is also covered, with meal preparation sessions included to demonstrate how to eat to feel well.

Learning Disabilities team staff nurse Jonathan Barron, commented: “You and your health really matters. Please join us at our new ‘Your health’ drop in to find out more information about having a healthier life whilst living with a learning disability.
