Central City hub

East Oxford Health Centre

Current state

This is an existing NHS site, where many services are provided already.  Its layout is not proposed to be redesigned – including those areas used by Oxford Health’s teams.

The plan

East Oxford will become the hub serving those living in the centre of Oxford.

Services

It will continue to host our Oxford City facing patient clinics and a visiting out-of-hours service, including:

  • District nursing
  • Adult speech and language therapy service*
  • Dietetics and nutrition service*
  • Public health vaccination team (a visiting, county-wide team)
  • Primary care Out-of-hours clinics (a visiting that serves all of Oxford)
  • Some children and young people’s services clinics (e.g. those run by the Phoenix Team)
  • Specialist community dental services (including emergency care)

*The longer term location of these services is under review, but they will remain at East Oxford for now.
