Contraception Outreach

A Contraception outreach service is available for young people up to and including 18 years of age who may be unable to access sexual health clinics or the GP and are in mainstream education settings in Oxfordshire or under the employment, education and training (EET) team.

Young people & professionals can contact the School Health & College nurse service for support & advice with contraception, including the supply of emergency contraception.

Initial consultations may be done remotely dependent upon social distancing guidance.

We may also discuss and assess for other contraception & sexual health requirements such as:

  • Condoms
  • Testing for Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Assessment for on-going contraception

Young people can either contact their School nurse directly or via e mail Contraception.outreach@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk or telephone 07769 235 149. E mails, phone calls and texts will be monitored Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.  If you are contacting the contraception outreach service on a Friday, over the Weekend or a Bank Holiday it will not be responded to until the next working day.

For Professional referrals please complete the referral form and send to Contraception.outreach@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk
