The CAMHS Autism Diagnostic Clinic is currently in a pilot phase.

It aims to:

  • streamline the referral, assessment, diagnosis and support process for children and young people with autism through effective multiagency work
  • maximise the health outcomes of children, young people and their families with these complex needs through direct engagement with the specialist multidisciplinary professionals working within the CAMHS team, in collaboration with other disciplines within specialist paediatric neuro-disability services and children’s community therapies as appropriate
  • facilitate research that will increase the evidence base for the understanding, assessment and treatment of children and young people with complex neuro-developmental and co-occurring disorders, including the identification of appropriate outcome measures for these complex children, young people and their families

All referrals will continue to go via the Oxfordshire CAMHS Single Point of Access: If you are a GP or a health care professional who needs to send over information over a secure email address, please email us at
