Early Intervention Service

whiteleaf-eisWe provide support for young people (14 – 35 years) who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

If you are experiencing significant stress or worrying changes in your mental wellbeing for the first time, please have a look at our ‘Are you OK?’ website for more information. This includes identifying risk factors, and understanding more about the warning signs of breakdown.

If you are worried about a friend or family member, you may find our website ‘Are They OK?’ helpful.

We work with the young person and their network (including family, schools, colleges and employers) to help them:

  • normalise their experiences
  • pursue their goals
  • overcome their difficulties.

We do this by raising awareness (psycho-education).

We are also involved in relapse prevention work.

The Early Intervention Service is based at the Whiteleaf Centre, but provides support to patients in a variety of community settings.
