Use of vapes

Inpatient wards

For our inpatient wards where vaping is permitted, rechargeable vapes will be the only form of vape allowed on-site.

The purchasing and supply of single use vapes is not permitted after the 1st June.

Forensic patients

Forensic patients will be able to buy pods from Restore shop or via the ward for Marlborough House and Woodlands in the same way they purchased single use vapes.

Forensic patients will be able to use their vapes in gardens and their bedrooms with their door shut and window open.

Secondary mental health patients

Secondary mental health patients will receive up to two pods per day in the same way they did single use vapes. Charging will take place by nursing staff.

Secondary mental health patients will be able to use their vapes in outside gardens and grounds only.
