Visiting a Community Hospital

Due to the impact of Coronavirus our visiting policy has had to change significantly to allow us to maintain the strictest infection prevention control measures to protect the safety of our patients and staff from the virus.

Our initial ban on visiting at the start of lockdown has now been lifted. We are now permitting one visitor for one hour for each patient – but sessions must be booked. Please don’t turn up without prior agreement.

The numbers to call to make a booking will be given to you when your relative or friend is admitted to ensure that you are able to stay in contact during their stay.

Ward staff will always be available during your visit to offer support and advice and to answer any questions that you have.

If you have made an appointment for a visit, there is further details on what you can expect and some frequently asked questions (FAQs) that might help you.

This includes wearing masks, hand sanitisers.
