Menopause and Menstrual Health Clinic — Oxfordshire

Overview

The Menopause and Menstrual Health Clinic supports both patients and clinicians.

We focus on cases where mental health is affected by:

• Menopausal symptoms
• Menstrual health issues

Our team is multidisciplinary, with input from:

• Psychiatry
• Community Gynaecology

How we work

When a referral is received, we follow this process:

1. Screening – We review the referral.
2. Case discussion – The referring clinician may be invited to discuss the case.
3. Patient assessment – We may offer an appointment via MS Teams to talk through:
   1. Menstrual and/or menopausal history
   2. How this relates to the patient’s mental health

If needed, we create a treatment plan with advice from Community Gynaecology.

Who we work with

We accept referrals for:

• Patients who are being seen by Secondary Mental Health Teams in Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

Assessments may be offered to patients being seen by Oxfordshire Mental Health Teams.
