Swindon has a vibrant fringe theatre called the Shoebox theatre which focuses on contemporary performance.

There are numerous music venues, pubs offering live music and clubs, as well as a popular Arts Centre in Old Town and the well-known Wyvern Theatre as a place to see film, comedy and music.

There are three cinema complexes, including two with free parking.
