Culture and events

Swindon has a packed agenda of indoor and outdoor events.  These include:

• An annual literature festival.
• A children’s fete held every summer which celebrates the town’s children, community, culture and heritage.
• Swindon and Wiltshire Pride – an annual Gay Pride parade for the region.
• The Swindon Beer Festival
• The Swindon half marathon
• Swindon open studios, an annual event where local artists open their work spaces to visitors
• The Swindog art trail – an annual trail of sculptures
• Swindon art project – murals around the town centre and in local communities
