The Care Home Support Service (CHSS) is a multidisciplinary team which consists of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and healthcare assistants for both physical and mental health disciplines.

A medical consultant and psychologist support the clinical leadership to the team and administrative support is provided by a small team.

The CHSS supports, signposts, educates and advises care home staff to promote a high standard of care for residents in Oxfordshire residential and nursing homes.

Care home support service is not an urgent response service. For any crisis or life-threatening emergency, please call either the resident’s GP, 111 or 999 as necessary.
