Safeguarding in Learning and Development

Safeguarding isn’t just about protecting patients. It’s equally important in our learning environments.

Whether you’re attending a training session, facilitating a course, or supporting learners, we all share a responsibility to create a safe and respectful space for everyone.

If you’re unsure about something you’ve seen or heard, or need to report a safeguarding concern, don’t hesitate to act.

Guidance for staff

If you see or hear something that doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it. If you’re worried about someone’s safety or wellbeing in a learning environment, speak up.

Guidance for SLT

If a member of staff raises a safeguarding concern with you, it’s important to respond calmly, supportively, and follow the correct process.

Non-urgent advice: Who to contact

To report a safeguarding concern, please contact:

  • Your course facilitator
  • The Senior Learning & Development Manager on duty

Please ask at the L&D reception desk for a named contact.
