Medic Support – SERVICE CLOSURE
The Medic Support Service for postgraduate doctors, dentists and pharmacists in the Thames Valley region will be closing on 30th November 2025. To ensure the safe closure of the service, new referrals will no longer be available after 31st July 2025.
Postgraduate doctors, dentists and pharmacists in training will be able to continue to access the Thames Valley Professional Support and Wellbeing Service (PSWS). We have provided a list of alternative psychological therapy and mental health support services on the PSWS website: Professional Support & Wellbeing Service – Working across Thames Valley
The Thames Valley WT&E team would like to take this opportunity to thank Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust for their support with delivering the Medic Support Service and the support it has provided to postgraduate doctors, dentists and pharmacists across the region.

We are confidential
Many people working in healthcare, particularly those in training, can be nervous about approaching mental health services and sharing information that will be stored in an electronic health record. This can be a potential barrier to healthcare professionals seeking support and we would not want this to be the case for our service.
Should you have any concerns about confidentiality, or anything else that makes you hesitate to make a self-referral, please check our FAQs, see our Confidentiality Policy or contact us to discuss your questions. We will explain the support we offer and how we store personal data before you disclose anything personal to us. You can then choose whether you wish to proceed with making a self-referral.
