Interventional Psychiatry Service

The Interventional Psychiatry Service offers Ketamine, rTMS and ECT services. It is based at the Warneford Hospital in Oxford in two buildings: Main Hospital, and POWIC (Prince of Wales International Centre)

Our services are provided in two streams.  All three services are available to patients who are currently under the care of a Consultant Psychiatrist employed by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust ‘on the NHS’.  Additionally, patients who are referred by GPs, or by psychiatrists from outside Oxford Health, can receive ketamine and rTMS on a ‘self pay’ (ie private) basis.

For patients whose psychiatric care is provided by the Buckinghamshire teams in Oxford Health, ECT and rTMS services are available through the Buckinghamshire Neuromodulation Service at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury.  Details of that service are available here and via 01865 901065
