• this is with your consent
• is necessary for your safety or that of others,
• if we are required to by law (e.g. child protection).

Medic Support is a well-established, highly regarded therapy service which has been helping postgraduate dentists, doctors and pharmacists across the Thames Valley for nearly two decades.

We ‘get it’

We are familiar with the training pathways, occupational cultures and challenges specific to medicine, dentistry and pharmacy and we bring this ‘occupational sensitivity’ to all aspects of our practice.

We know how difficult it can sometimes be as a healthcare professional to acknowledge that you are stressed or to ask for help.

You may feel your problems are not serious enough or that you should be able to cope on your own. Or you may feel that it’s risky to discuss your feelings with others in your training network or personal life in case doing so impacts your career and relationships.

Work-related and personal difficulties may cause anxiety, stress, depression and unhappiness. Medic Support provides an opportunity to talk through such concerns in a confidential environment away from work and home.
