Leprosy is one of the world’s oldest diseases. Despite it being entirely curable (through a simple course of medication), millions of people are affected worldwide.

Leprosy is an infectious disease of the skin and nerves which, if left untreated, can lead to deformities and blindness. Every two minutes someone is diagnosed with leprosy, but due to the lack of education and stigma surrounding the disease, some people are diagnosed too late and develop life changing disabilities.

World leprosy day aims to raise awareness of the disease, as well as provide an opportunity to raise much needed funds for sufferers of leprosy worldwide. For further information, please click here.
