Wednesday 19 September saw the inaugural cricket match take place between two teams of service users, the Oxford Clinic Oldboys and Aylesbury Academicals.  The weather held up for the whole day and the sun shone allowing for an ever changing game for the 25 over match which was held at Aylesbury Cricket Club.

There were some amazing catches out in the field and the tight bowling meant that it was a close game, but the Aylesbury Academicals eventually coming out as the winners.  Trophies were awarded to both teams with an additional trophy being awarded to the umpire’s choice of Man of the Match.  A signed cricket bat was also presented to a member of the Aylesbury Academicals who had shown the most commitment to training over the season.

All in all it was a very successful day and a good start to plans to set up a series of league games for next season.  Oxford Health NHS FT would like to thank Aylesbury Cricket Club for providing access to their grounds for a day and the sumptuous lunch they provided.
