The by-election for the vacancy for a Governor post on our Members’ Council – Carers Buckinghamshire – was successful and a winner has been announced.

All Foundation Trusts have a duty to consult a ‘Board of Governors’ (what we call the Members’ Council), which represents service users, carers, staff, members of the public and key stakeholders, in the strategic planning of the organisation. The Members’ Council is chaired by the Chair of the Trust and is made up of appointed Governors and Governors elected by the Membership. In total our Members’ Council has places for 31 Governors.
