Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (OBMH) recently held an election to fill four governor vacancies to sit on the Members’ Council.

As a Foundation Trust, our Governors are a key group who have a number of important roles to play including holding the Board of Directors to account for the performance of the Trust, representing the views of Members and helping to shape the strategic direction of the Trust.

We are pleased to announce that Jayne Ann Champion was re-elected as Governor representing Service User Members in Oxfordshire.  Her tenure will be for three years from 1 April 2010.

We are also pleased to announce that the following staff Governors have been elected unopposed:

Graham Whitwell – Governor representing Staff: Adult Services
Jackie Thomas – Governor representing Staff: Older Adult Services
Pauline Scully – Governor representing Staff: CAMHS and Specialist Services

Their tenures will be for three years from 1 April 2010.

We would like to thank David Mushrow, Lucy Toynbee and Linette Whitehead for their support and contribution as Governors representing Staff.  Their input during the Trust’s first two years as an authorised NHS foundation trust was valuable and we have appreciated their contribution in creating a strong Members’ Council.

If you would like to contact any of the Foundation Trust Governors, please email us at: ft@obmh.nhs.uk or call 01865 782180.
