We are the Adult Community Eating Disorder service for Oxfordshire.
Our team comprises dedicated doctors, nurses, dieticians, social workers, allied health professionals, and assistant practitioners.

Our psychiatrists assess and manage the medical and psychiatric aspects of eating disorders. They may support with diagnosis, medication, and risk management, especially when physical health or co-occurring mental health conditions are involved.

Psychologists provide evidence-based psychological therapies such as CBT-E, MANTRA, and other approaches tailored to individual needs. They help people explore the underlying factors contributing to their eating disorder and support long-term recovery.

Our specialist nurses are registered healthcare professionals with expertise in both physical and mental health. Within our team, they deliver evidence-based treatments such as CBT-E and SSCM, act as key workers for patients, and lead on the FREED pathway for early intervention. They also triage all referrals into the service, ensuring timely access to appropriate care, and play a vital role in coordinating treatment and supporting recovery.

Our CBT therapists are trained in delivering evidence-based psychological treatments for eating disorders, including CBT-E and other NICE-recommended approaches. They work collaboratively with service users to explore thoughts, behaviours, and emotions related to eating difficulties, and support individuals in making meaningful changes. Their work is goal-focused, structured, and tailored to each person’s needs
Dietetic team

Dietitians work with individuals to improve their nutritional intake, challenge food-related fears, and restore physical health. They offer tailored advice and meal plans based on each person’s needs and goals.
