Physical health monitoring
Before an assessment, we require up-to-date physical health monitoring results as outlined on the referral form:
- Recent weight, height and BMI
- Weight recordings from the past 3 months, if available
- Full blood investigations
- ECG
- Pulse and blood pressure
If the patient is accepted into ACEDS for treatment, we are responsible for their ongoing physical health monitoring until discharge. However, please note that we do not currently offer an in-house blood testing service.
Our current process is to send blood test request forms directly to patients and ask them to arrange testing through their local, registered primary care provider. We will receive the results and are responsible for interpreting them and taking any necessary actions.
In some cases, a patient may request that their physical health monitoring is carried out by their GP instead of attending our clinics. When this occurs, we will contact the GP and, where it is safe and practical to do so, seek a joint care agreement.
