Our Oral Health Promotion Service, Smile 360, aims to improve the oral health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across Oxfordshire.
By promoting good oral health practices and raising awareness, we strive to reduce inequalities and ensure everyone has access to the resources and support they need for healthy teeth and gums.
What we do
Training and support
We offer a range of training programmes to equip professionals and volunteers with the knowledge and skills to promote oral health.
Our training sessions can be generic or bespoke to meet the specific needs of different groups, from healthcare workers to educators.
Oral health accreditation for early years settings and care homes
We support early years settings and care homes in promoting good oral health through our Accreditation Scheme.
This programme helps settings develop and maintain positive oral health practices with the help of tailored training and ongoing support.
Oral health resources
Our online resources provide accessible and up-to-date oral health information for all ages.
Available in multiple languages and formats, these resources are designed to support individuals and communities in making informed decisions about their oral health.
Communities of Practice (COP)
We bring together Communities of Practice (CoPs) bring together individuals with a shared interest in improving oral health.
These groups provide a platform for professionals, community members, and volunteers to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate on initiatives aimed at promoting good oral health practices.
Supervised toothbrushing programmes
We offer supervised tooth brushing sessions for children in early years settings and schools, helping them develop lifelong oral health habits with guidance and support from trained staff.
Oral health surveys
We we conduct self-reported oral health surveys to gather valuable data that helps us tailor our services to meet the needs of the community and improve overall oral health in Oxfordshire.
