Memory and Cognition Research Delivery Team – Carer Research Distribution Mailing List
Sections in this leaflet
Introduction
The Carer Research Distribution Mailing List is a new mailing list run by the Oxford Health Foundation Trust Memory and Cognition Research Delivery Team.
The aim of the mailing list is to provide research interested carers with up-to-date information and opportunities.
Who is it for?
The mailing list is for individuals who are supporting someone with a dementia diagnosis or memory problem.
Although the mailing list is called the ‘Carer Distribution Mailing List’, we acknowledge not everyone supporting someone with memory problems identifies with this label.
If you help care for someone with a memory problem and are interested in research, this mailing list is for you.
What are the benefits?
- Taking part in research can help healthcare providers make decisions about treatments and services. Our studies strive to help continue improving the provision of care – both for people with dementia and their wider support systems
- Participating in research may be beneficial to you, or someone like you in the future
By signing up to the mailing list, you will receive regular updates about our recruiting studies. Examples of these studies include:
- Carer studies involving trialling new methods to support individuals caring for someone with dementia
- Clinical drug studies trialling new medication for slowing the progression of dementia
- Biomarker studies looking at ways to use blood biomarkers to support the diagnosis process
- Therapy or intervention studies seeking new ways to support carer resilience and mental health
How do I join?
Please email memory.researchcarers@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk and a member of the team can provide you with a form.
