What is the neuroscience behind ADHD?

ADHD is a condition that starts in the brain.

It happens because certain chemicals, called neurotransmitters, are not working well in a part of the brain called the pre-frontal cortex.

This part of the brain helps us pay attention, control our actions, and make balanced decisions.
