Assessment

How does it work to be assessed for ADHD?

An ADHD assessment typically lasts 2-3 hours and is carried out by a specialist with experience in diagnosing ADHD.

During the assessment, you will be asked questions about your current life and your experiences as a child and adolescent. The process will also involve completing structured questionnaires.

To help with the diagnosis, the specialist will ask for information from someone who knows you well now (such as a partner, relative, or close friend) and, where possible, from someone who knew you well as a child.
