The 2012 Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) programme will commence on 3 January 2012.  This involves a team of people from within the Trust visiting all wards to provide a non-technical view of the quality of non-clinical services provided to in-patients.  The inspections are a visual assessment focusing on the standards of cleanliness, the condition of the environment & the services provided to patients for example Catering Services.   On completion of the inspection the team will jointly discuss and award scores in line with the PEAT guidance.

The Trust would be interested to receive expressions of interest from users and/or carers who would be willing to be part of one of the teams.  Reimbursement of expenses etc will be made in line with the Trust policy.
