South City hub
The location for the South City hub has yet to be confirmed, but we are looking at options in and around the Blackbird Leys and Cowley areas of Oxford. The plan is for the hub’s location to be agreed by the end of 2025.
Current state
We are working with our staff and local organisations such as Oxford City Council to find a suitable hub site within the general area of Blackbird Leys and Cowley. Whichever location is chosen, access to it using public transport will be very important.
The plan
Once the right site is agreed and secured, any necessary refurbishment works will be carried out to allow it to become the hub for the south of the city.
It will be both a staff base and offer clinical services targeted to all patients living in the south of Oxford.
Services
The services provided will likely include:
- 0-19 Healthy Child and Young Person’s Services (previously health visiting, school nursing and family nurse partnership teams)
- District nursing
- Podiatry
