Get involved in research

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) means working in partnership with researchers to help shape and improve research.

Your experience as a patient, carer, service user, or interested member of the public can make a real difference. By sharing your perspective, you can help make research more relevant, accessible, and effective.

There are many ways to get involved, such as:

  • Helping researchers decide which questions are most important to explore
  • Making sure study information is clear and easy to understand
  • Giving feedback on whether the research approach is suitable for participants
