Parent and carer participant group
We are very interested in hearing the views of parents and carers on a wide range of issues relating to our service.
Tell us your views on:
- Assessment
- Treatment
- Information leaflets
- Website
- Support to parents and young people
- Research
- Training
We are keen that the views of people that use our service are embedded in our service development and aim to work in partnership with you to provide the most effective service for young people with eating disorders and their families.
When do we meet?
The parent forum meets every few months for an informal and relaxed meeting with two or three members of our staff to canvass views on all aspects of the current service, discuss ideas for service development and hear your views on research.
We also invite parents and young people on a regular basis to join our team away days.
We may also approach parents between forum meetings if there are specific issues we would like advice on.
How to get involved
If you would like to be involved in the parent forum, please get in touch with our participation lead:
Phone: 01865 902 424
You can also discuss ideas even if you are not able to attend the forum meetings and he will pass these on to the relevant people.
We look forward to meeting you at forum meetings!
