Emotional Health and Wellbeing

Emotional difficulties can be expressed in a number of different ways such as changes in behaviour, sleep, mood, or diet.

Emotional wellbeing is vital for learning and for young people to be able to achieve their full potential.

A young person’s wellbeing and happiness is affected by how they feel able to respond to challenges in their life, and the circumstances in which they live and sometimes this leaves them feeling sad, worried or confused.

The college nurse team is able to provide support for young people 19 years and under and can advise on what local services are available or refer young people to a specialist agency.

If you have serious or urgent concerns about yourself or a young person please see your GP.
