Recovery colleges
Recovery colleges provide free educational courses which can help someone understand their experiences, manage recovery, and also support someone else in their journey. They are available for service users, ex-service users and family, friends and carers.
Courses can help carers build upon their skills, resilience and confidence. Carers often experience a sense of isolation and lose their personal identity, becoming a student can help break this pattern. Allowing yourself to have some “Me” time and learning something new can be really rewarding.
