£5 billion investment in education and training

HEE published its 2nd Workforce Plan for England in December, with a focus on significantly expanding the future workforce in key priority areas, such as nursing, paramedic, primary care and emergency medicine. HEE will commission 370 more postgraduate medical training posts than in the 2014 plan and will continue growing the nurse workforce.
