Advanced Paramedic prescribing
Changes in legislation means advanced paramedics are now able to prescribe. Under current medicines legislation, registered paramedics already supply and administer a range of medicines for their patients. However following the pattern with other healthcare professionals, advanced paramedics (including those working in GP practice) will be able to undertake the training and develop competencies to prescribe medicines providing they meet the eligibility criteria.
