Invitation to feed back on Care Certificate pilots

The Care Certificate is being piloted with a range of employers across health and social care. It will be formally launched in 2015.

Organisations and individual members of staff are being encouraged to have their say during this pilot phase. Your feedback will help to ensure that the Care Certificate matches the needs of employers and the community.

Achievement of the Care Certificate should ensure that the healthcare support worker has the skills and knowledge needed to provide high quality, person-centred care and support in our communities

The plan is for the Care Certificate to replace replacing both the National Minimum Training Standards and the Common Induction Standards. Prof Lisa Bayliss-Pratt, Director of Nursing for Health Education England described this as “the first significant initiative designed to work across health and social care”.
