Talking about physical activity

Moving Medicine is an initiative by the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine in partnership with Public Health England and Sport England. They work with clinicians, hospitals and patients to spread the word about the remarkably positive effects that just a little bit of movement can have on the symptoms of many common diseases.

As well as tailored toolkits to help clinicians have conversations with patients about their condition, Moving Medicine are developing an accredited, structured and moderated online education platform to develop the skills and knowledge required to have good quality conversations with people about physical activity no matter how short or long the conversation may be. It will take place over eight weeks with weekly objectives an opportunities for deliberate practice and reflective feedback with expert guidance. The course will be announced on their website here.
