Family and Carers: join us for a virtual support group

Are you a carer or do you look after someone who self harms or experiences suicidal thoughts and receives support from our adult mental health services?

If you feel alone or want to share your experiences with other carers in a supportive environment then Oxford Health would like you to get involved with our first virtual Teams meeting on Thursday, October 29 at 11.30am.

Di Hilson our trust carer lead has said: “We are really pleased to be able to offer our first online support group to family members and carers of our patients who are affected by self harm or suicidal thoughts. We are aware that these are challenging and difficult times for people who are looking after someone so providing a space for carers to come together in a supportive environment to talk to others who understand what they are going through will hopefully help them in some way.”

This is about creating a safe environment for carers to talk to each other and to know that support is out there when they need it.

A poster about the event is available here.

For joining details email Di Hilson, diane.hilson@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk or call 07775 816646.
