Oxford Health’s Holly Milne was pleasantly surprised to learn that she had been selected as the August winner of the trust’s Exceptional People Award.
Holly, who is a staff nurse at Cotswold House Marlborough, has been described as an incredible listener who makes a difference for patients and staff alike.
“I enjoy being part of a team which makes positive changes in people’s lives,” Holly said of her work.
“I like working with clients from different backgrounds and being able to build therapeutic relationships over a long period of time.”
Qualifying as a nurse in September 2017, Holly has already made an impact in her field.
Carol Bennett, who nominated her for the award, said: “Holly has high levels of motivation to learn but is never demanding of the team. She is very much liked by those she works alongside and she has an ability to demonstrate the values of all the work other team members do, whatever their role and grade.”
“Her ideas are innovative and she has been a most amazing asset to our service.”
Holly will receive a certificate and our thanks for her valued service to the trust and its patients.
Every month we recognise and reward a member of staff that has made a real difference to the trust, our people and our patients. Nominations are welcome from staff, service users, patients, or friends and family of service users and patients. If you would like to nominate someone exceptional you can download a form here.
