High street mental health hubs across Oxfordshire are opening their doors, welcoming people to find out more about Mental Health care on World Mental Health Day.

Two Keystone Mental Health & Wellbeing Hubs have opened across the county in the past year, with more planned in the future.

The hubs offer a ground-breaking approach to supporting people with ongoing mental health problems – bringing care and support close to people when they need it most.

People are invited to pop in to find out more about what they do and the support available.

Keystone hubs are currently operating for communities in Banbury and Abingdon. Plans are underway for further locations across the county.

The Abingdon hub, in Bury Street Shopping Centre, is set to celebrate with an official gala opening at the end of the month.

In July, the Banbury Hub (Castle Quays Shopping Centre) was opened by renowned TV pundit and former England and Arsenal football Martin Keown.

Debbie Walton, Associate Director of Adult Mental Health in Oxfordshire, said:

“The Keystone hubs are open every day for people to call in to get support for their mental health. For people experiencing long term mental health conditions, like a physical health condition, they may have good days and poorer days and the level of care and support they need will vary. The Keystone hubs pop-in hours will be extended on World Mental Health Day from 9am to 5pm.”
