Continuing Professional Development

All our podiatrists are registered with the Health Professions Council. Practitioners undertake a number of Continual Professional Development (CPD) activities each year.

In Oxfordshire the podiatry department is committed to supporting all staff in their continual professional development, enabling patients to receive up to date and evidence based care. As part of this all staff:

• Have protected learning time and spend a half day each month involved in clinical effectiveness and quality improvement projects, which are aimed at improving the care that we offer.
• Attend mandatory training courses and access e-learning modules.
• Participate in an annual appraisal programme and have personal development programmes tailored to meet their learning needs.
• Attend an annual conference organised by the podiatry department. Expert speakers are invited from professional sources as well as representatives from commercial companies.
