Learning on patient and public participation

NHS England has commissioned a series of half day workshop resources around developing patient and public participation skills and understanding. The Foundation workshop is for those new to public engagement or to working in the NHS environment.  The workshop provides a sound understanding of the main elements to consider when running a public engagement programme. It covers the definition of public engagement, different types of engagement and when to use them, and how to define your target audiences.
The courses are available on the NHS England Involvement Hub

There are other learning resources around patient engagement and Patient Participation Groups on the Involving Patients page.
