Suicide prevention support
COVID-19 has affected everyone in different ways. Some colleagues, including those with existing mental health concerns, may be struggling.
The Zero Suicide Alliance – a collaboration of NHS trusts, charities, businesses and individuals who are all committed to suicide prevention – offers a range of free suicide awareness training options. These can give you a better understanding of the signs to look out for, and the skills required to approach someone who is struggling.
In addition during COVID-19 the NHS are offering free access to a bereavement and suicide prevention and support app and support line for all NHS and social care staff.
