Visiting times

Visitors are welcome to the unit at Abingdon Community Hospital between 11am and 8pm.

Patients care and therapy may be scheduled during these hours.

We operate a protected mealtime policy. Only visitors that are assisting patients with their meal will be allowed on the ward at this time at the discretion of the shift co-ordinator.

If you are present during mealtimes and you are not assisting with the meal, you may be asked to wait in another area.

  • Breakfast (7.30-8.30am)
  • Lunch (noon – 1pm)
  • Dinner (5.30-6.30pm)

There should not be more than two visitors per patient at one time.

Parking

Pay and Display parking is available on site. If you are visiting a friend or relative on a regular basis, it is possible to purchase a weekly permit at a reduced cost.  Please speak to a member of nursing staff if you would like to apply for a permit.
