From 8 March 2021, we are pleased to be welcoming back visitors to OSRU.

Each patient is allowed a single nominated visitor. This person is able to visit for 45 minutes each day.  Time slots are allocated for visiting.

Please contact the ward if you would like further information.

Visiting times

Visitors are welcome to the unit at Abingdon Community Hospital between 11am and 8pm.

Patients care and therapy may be scheduled during these hours.

We operate a protected mealtime policy. Only visitors that are assisting patients with their meal will be allowed on the ward at this time at the discretion of the shift co-ordinator.

If you are present during mealtimes and you are not assisting with the meal, you may be asked to wait in another area.

  • Breakfast (7.30-8.30am)
  • Lunch (noon – 1pm)
  • Dinner (5.30-6.30pm)

There should not be more than two visitors per patient at one time.
