NHS England – looking forward 5 years

NHS England has outlined the purpose and outcomes of its forthcoming five year forward view – also known as 5yfr

Key issues for primary care will be embedded in workstreams around understanding:

• How NHS England support patients to be more active and engaged in their own health, and improve the responsiveness of the NHS when they are ill.
• What tangible steps can be taken to support carers and volunteers
• What new care models could deliver integrated and responsive care, and how they can be delivered at the local and national level.

NHS England is not commissioning new work or consultations  but will pull in existing work including the five-year plans developed by CCGs and NHS providers.  However you can send comments, research or contributions for consider can be sent to england.fiveyearview@nhs.net
