Support for carers
Support for friends and relatives
As friends or relatives, you are invited to join individuals during their assessment. This helps us understand the difficulties they face at home.
Carer assessment
When needed, a carer assessment will be done. We provide information to help you support someone with an eating disorder. You may also be invited to join therapy sessions with the individual.
Transition from CAMHS
When individuals move from Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to our team, we offer at least two appointments for parents or carers. These appointments help you understand how adult eating disorder services work.
We encourage individuals to involve you in their treatment, while respecting their privacy.
