Cotswold House, Marlborough first opened in September 2008 offering 12 inpatient beds and a range of day patient services, for adult patients.  We have recently been awarded an ‘excellent’ rating from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.  The unit is situated on the Savernake Hospital site, on the edge of Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Our service provides a stepped model of care tailored to individual needs, and we treat patients wanting recovery, those who want to be able to live safely with their eating disorder, and those requiring acute intervention because they have reached a dangerously low weight.  We offer a range of programmes and evidence-based treatments to assist a patient’s return to independent living, including work, training or study, at the earliest opportunity.

We work with adults (over 18) and with young people who are approaching their 18th birthday and likely to require support or treatment into adulthood. For patients in Wiltshire we collaborate with our colleagues in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS, also part of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust) to manage the transition to adult services.  We are able to cater for the needs of male and female patients.

We accept referrals specifically for patients from Wales, Swindon and Wiltshire.  We also accept referrals from all other areas, with suitable funding arrangements.  For further information on how to refer, and our referral criteria, please visit our How to refer page.
